Part Eighteen
Responsible Party
Henry Wu sat at his desk and read the email from the DoD. They wanted velociraptors, even though they knew by now how unstable and uncontrollable the creatures were. He was sure that someone had sent them full reports of the carnage.
Wu had gone along with Hoskins’ dealings with the DoD because InGen needed the funding and because he loved pushing scientific limits. He loved the godlike feeling he got from creating new life. He was only now realizing his own arrogance.
After the InGen science team left Isla Nublar, it dawned on him that he was as responsible for all the death and destruction as anyone. He’d never told Hammond no. nor Masrani. Nor had he said no to the Dod.
Well, there was no time like now to begin.
He clicked ‘reply’ and began a message.
I regret to inform you that we lost our DNA samples and our embryos in the disaster at Isla Nublar. As far as I know, all the animals there were killed and have been disposed of. I will keep you informed if there are updates to this information.

He hit ‘send’ and sat back in his chair.
