Part Twenty
Flight
Their nest was off the beach and it had nine eggs in it. The bird who tended the nest was not like any bird who’d nested there in at least 60 million years. She and her mate were midsized pterosaurs who had been extinct since the end of the Cretaceous Period.
Until now.
They had escaped from Isla Nublar and flown to another island, one frequented by humans. So far, they’d been busy with their nest and they’d eaten small animals and scraps left in the garbage by beach goers.
When their eggs hatched, they’d need bigger and better food.
