MEANWHILE BACK ON THE FARM…

Indominus Rex was bored. And hungry. And bored. Mostly bored

She knew the other dinosaurs were out there. She could hear them, smell them. She could smell the tiny ones too. They stunk of fear, her favorite flavor. She saw the tiny creatures watching her. They couldn’t find her; she knew she blended in with her surroundings. All the better for hunting.

Hunting would be fun. She needed to find room to hunt.

Thought came to her much more clearly than the other dinosaurs in the park. Hybridization had made her much more intelligent.

She made a plan, going over to the wall and making scratches going up, as if she’d escaped. Not only could she change color, she could change her body temperature. She let herself grow cold.

The little noisy things came into her birdcage of a home.

‘Gotcha!’ she thought as she pounced on one of them.
