Fast Friends

The first time Owen saw Blue, she was poking her way out of her egg. She was a tiny little thing, not much bigger than a puppy. She looked up at him and growled though it came as more od a pitiful little squeak.

“Hello, little one.” He’d picked her and brought her up to look into her eyes. There was already a spark of intelligence as she snapped at him playfully. “I’m going to be the most important person in your life.”

She looked almost like she was smiling as tried to bite his nose at the same time.
