Part Nine
Carnivore Roundup 1
Owen was tasked with rounding up what was left of the predators and putting them in the newly repaired paddocks. The herbivores, what was left of them, were allowed to run free on the plains. There were still some young dinosaurs on the other island, Isla Sorna. Those were brought over as well as some young ones that had survived here.
The old t-rex was still loose as were several raptors though most of them were back in their paddock with Blue. Small predators ranged all over as well but they weren’t nearly as hard to catch as the t-rex and the wily raptors.
They finally decided to hunt the big girl with several armored vehicles and lots of animal tranquilizer. Owen hoped they could entice her to go into her paddock for food since the hunting was a bit scarce on the island right now. She had several large beef cattle waiting for her.
She still had her tracker so they could pinpoint her location and hopefully get her to follow the scent of meat. He drove the truck packed with meat as they neared where she was supposed to be. He cut the engine and waited for her.
