ALMOST HEAVEN

“Where the hell are you?” The question rang in the empty room.

“I’m here,” he said quietly from… where?

“I can’t find you.”

“All you ever have to do is call me. I’ll be here.”

“Dammit, Cas! You’re not an angel anymore. You can’t just appear like before.”

“Then how am I talking to you?”

Dean saw the tablet on the table when he moved closer and he saw Cas looking confused on the screen. Dean shook his head at Castiel.

“There you are! Where are you by the way?”

Cas looked around. “Clearly I’m not in heaven.”

“Clearly not.”

ZOOM!

Garibaldi was awakened by his door chime.

“Enter.”

Lennier silently entered and bowed.

“What can I do for you at this ungodly hour?”

Lennier looked perplexed for a second then said, “Shall I come back at a more ‘godly’ hour and when would that be?”

Garibaldi laughed despite himself.

“Do you recall when we worked on your motorcycle?”

Garibaldi nodded. He’d never actually expected to get the motorcycle restored but Lennier had taken care of that.

“It would be quite pleasurable to ride it again. Don’t you agree?”

“I do. Let me get dressed first.”

Minutes later, off they sped!

A FISHY WISH

“What do you want for Christmas, Private?” Skipper asked.

“I want a rainbow colored unicorn!”

“Of course you do,” Skipper said as he turned to Rico. “And you?”

Rico said something unintelligible; Kowalski translating, “He wants a new wife. Malibu Barbie is pretty. Or twenty pounds of C4. It’s pretty too. And I want some new scientific stuff. A Geiger counter. A nuclear reactor as well if you can find one.”

“What do you want, Skipper” Private asked.

“I wish that the whole world could live in peace through the year. Or maybe twenty-five pounds of fish. That would work.”
