“It never fails to give me chills,” Indy said as he and Sallah rode their horses near the Sphinx.

“It took a beating during the last war,” his friend said.

“So did I!” Indy still had aches and pains from trying to save the Ark from the Nazis.

“Whatever happened to the Ark, Indy?”

“It’s buried in another hiding place in another desert, I expect.”

“So what’s next?”

“I’m not sure. Maybe I’ll settle down somewhere with Marian, have some kids.”

“Have you ever thought about searching for Noah’s Ark?”

Indy looked at Sallah hard. “Why? Do you know something?”

Pinky Pie was surfing Equestrinet on Twilight’s computer when she found it. Pony porn. CGI pony porn with her and all the other ponies. She squealed when she saw what the male pony parts looked like.

“Applejack! Come see this!!!”

Applejack put her hoof to her mouth!

Pinkie was giggling like mad the CGI Boy pony pounded into the Pinky.

“Do you suppose…” Pinky let the sentence dangle.

“What?”

“Do you suppose your cousin Braeburn looks like that?”

Applejack blushed, saying nothing.

“Tell me!” Pinky squealed!

“Yes.”

“I think I need to taste me an apple! Let’s go find him!”

BERRY PICKING TIME

“Sam, I don’t want to pick berries.” Dean had no idea why his brother brought him here. There were families with children and happy couples of all ages standing by the bushes, picking berries. “I like them from the store.”

He noticed three little boys and moved closer to listen to them.

“I want to go home,” the smallest one said.

“The berries are good,” the biggest one said.

“But they’re dirty!” The little one whined. “They’re supposed to come from store, where they’re clean.”

Dean said. “See, even a small kid knows that. Let’s get outta here.”

Sam sighed.

‘Damn him to hell!’ Tony thought as he stared down the cold, empty street.

He spoke aloud. “Why do you always have to do what is right? Can’t you choose the grey now and again?”

He wrapped his arms around his chest and began to walk - no direction or destination at all. He hoped the cold rain might wash him clean, make him worthy again, make him forgive, make him forgivable.

The ache was more than heartache. It went all the way through him, clean to his soul, if he had one.

Dear, God, how he missed Steve Rogers.

“I want one.”

“Why?”

“It’s a more affordable electric car… it’s the future. It almost drives itself.”

“You already have a Tesla that does those things.” She sighed, knowing that she was going to lose this fight but she was going to make him explain why.

“You don’t understand. Pepper, I want it because it’s new and because I don’t have one yet.”

She sighed and went to order the car.

His time was almost gone. The bomb that he and Lyta planted at Psi Corps headquarters was to be detonated in a few seconds. They hoped to bring an end the persecution that dogged all telepaths.

“Delenn, forgive me?”

“I forgave the moment it happened, my friend. Surely you know me this well.”

He touched the button on the detonator.

It was done.

Susan was old, so old that no one recognized her anymore. Almost everyone was gone but Delenn and Vir. She smiled to herself. Vir was emperor and a good one, too, according to all she’d heard. Delenn had retired to the home she had shared with John Sheridan.

She’d heard a report that said John Sheridan was not what history painted him as.

Bull feathers!

She rang the bell by her chair and her assistant appeared. “Get me this idiot at ISN! I have a few things to say to him!”

Her assistant smiled.

Sheridan’s Secret

It had been a long, tiring day and John Sheridan was getting ready for bed. He poured himself a drink and sat down at his desk with some leftover paperwork to do. He’d been surprised at how much time it took to do the paperwork at a space station. There were never enough revenue money nor funds from Earth Gov to keep everything in good repair and pay all the personnel.

He smiled as he put on his pajamas. He opened a locked cabinet and took out something that no one knew anything about – his very own Sheridan teddy bear.

Heroes

Part 1
The child ran into the room, clutching a book filled with old photos.

“Mama! Who are these people?”

His mother smiled and motioned for the little boy to join her on the sofa. She took the book and opened it. There was a photo of a woman with a strange bonelike crown in her hair. She wore robes made of red with braided and embroidered emblems down the front.

The man standing beside her wore a black and silver military style uniform. He had sandy hair and a bright smile. His arm was around the woman’s shoulders.

“Who are they?”


Part 2
“They are John Sheridan and Delenn.” The mother ran a hand over them as if she could actually touch them by doing so.

“We talked about them in school on Alliance Day.” The little boy was five and fairly new to school. “Why do you have a book with their pictures? Didn’t they live a long time ago?”

“Yes, my son, they did. They were the people who built the Insterstellar Alliance. They were very brave and very good.”

“Did you learn about them in school?”

“I learned about them from my Grandfather. He gave me this book as well.”





Part 3
“Why did he give you the book?”

“They were his great, great grandparents.”

“Did he know them?”

“No but his father did. He remembered seeing Delenn when he was a very small boy.”

“Does that mean I am related to the people we read about on Alliance Day?”

She patted his hand. “Yes, David, it does.”

“Did they live on Earth?”

“John was born on Earth, but Delenn was Minbari. She and John lived there for many years.”

“Have I ever been to Earth?” The little boy asked.

“No, sadly Earth is not habitable. A terrible war ruined its environment.”




Part 4
The little boy looked like he was about to cry. He and his mother lived in Marsdome. His father had been killed in an accident when he was a small child and he’d never known him.

“Are we the only relatives of John and Delenn?” He liked the idea of being the relative of a hero and heroine.

“Oh no! There are many of us. We’re scattered across the galaxy.”

“Are there any more heroes?” He looked so hopeful.

“Many of our kinsmen have been Rangers and many still are.” Her son had not seen her insignia and uniform yet.

The One Who Is

Zathras called her the One who is. She understood that, finally understood who Sinclair was too, who John was.

But she’d never understand the time paradox. How could she exist in more than one place at one time? Did she? John? Sinclair?

In the end, would any of this really make any difference at all?

In the now, she was Ranger One. She commanded them, sent them out to keep watch over the rest of the galaxy. She didn’t feel worthy or even prepared but Zathras was right.

Whether she liked it or not, right now, she was the One.
