FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
Henry Jones Junior, or Professor Jones as he was called these days, read the note again. He blew out a breath and rubbed his head. This really looked like an interesting dig. Rumor had it that there really was a fountain of youth somewhere in Florida or the surrounding Caribbean Ocean. Evidence had turned up at a dig into some early Native American burial grounds near the Everglades. The evidence was bodies that seem to have been well into their two hundreds when they died as well as some sealed jars that had not yet been opened or analyzed.
He thought about the grey hair that greeted him in the mirror every morning. He kinda liked being older. Well, all except when his bones ached every morning enough to force him out of bed before he wanted to get up.
He had a steady job with enough money to live comfortably. He was respected by his peers and he and Marion hed settled into a very comfortable life.
Still…
He thought about it all day. It had been quite awhile since he had been in the field. Marion would kill him. Hell, he’d take her with him. She knew as much as he did. Almost. He grinned and picked up the phone on his desk.
“Mutt, grab your stuff and your mother, we’re going to find the Fountain of Youth.”
And hour later, the three of them were on a plane bound for adventure.
Life was good.
